Vision

Faced with a national energy scenario characterised by:

  • High consumption of fossil fuels and the resulting massive emissions of greenhouse gases.
  • Highly energy-dependent on external sources.
  • Increasing citizen awareness regarding environmental issues.
  • Trading in emissions (EU Directive).
  • Slow development of solar energy.

In view of their social and economic benefits, Avanzalia is committed to the development of renewable energies in Spain given:

  • Spain’s ideal solar conditions.
  • Support from government bodies in Europe and Spain.
  • International concern as manifested by the Kyoto Protocol.

A company model has been established allowing investment in energy-production projects with greater environmental sustainability.

Producing clean energy respectful of the environment

According to Spanish law, from 2010 renewable energies should satisfy at least 12% of Spain’s primary energy demand. It also covers the Plan for the Provision of Renewable Energies (Law 54/1997 of the Electricity Sector) developed by IDAE (Spain’s Institute for the Diversification and Saving of Energy) outlining present and future developments of these energies.

In this context, Avanzalia offers extensive experience as a leading company in the construction of large-scale photovoltaic solar power plants in Spain.
